Community Day

October 6, 2007

The Men of Whatcoat sponsored Community Day on Saturday, October 6, 2007.  The event featured food, fun and games.  One of the highlights was the three-on-three basketball tournament, which included a women's team and an "old school" forty-plus team of Rev. Jim Whitaker, Earl Wilson and Ricky Hardy.  The old school team won two rounds! 

Entertainment for the day included Youth Praise Dancers, The Whatcoat Gospel Ensemble, The Gospel Sounds, The Delaware State University Cheerleading Squad and Team Mascot - The Hornet, and a Rapper.

There were representatives from the Dover Police D.A.R.E. Program and the Dover Robbins Hose Fire Company.
