Prison Fellowship: Worship, Bible Study, and fellowship ministries at three facilities within the state. Also offers one on one counseling and the encouragement to take advantage of a more productive lifestyle.

Mission Area Ministry: In cooperation with nine other United Methodists Churches, Whatcoat conducts a Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Capital Park in Dover and Lone Star Trailer Park in Camden. These areas are high crime, at-risk, and drug-infested communities. In addition to VBS, children are taught how to handle life situations in an appropriate manner, through conflict resolution and decision making.

Helping Hands Ministry: This community assistance program has already spent in excess of $2,500 in the year 2001 in assisting low-income families and homeless persons in Kent County with payments for utilities, rent, telephone, over-night shelter, emergency transportation, etc. Other church groups also supply assistance to the needy.

Health & Wellness Ministries: Conducts Gospelcise (exercise program to Gospel Music), respite for Caregivers, Health Fairs, Whatcoat Health Unit, and Blood Pressure Screening. Parish nurses are in partnership with Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and the American Cancer Society.

Hearts and Hands: The ministries of building relationships with at-risk families in the Whatcoat Village Apartments.

Approximately 40 children are on the waiting list.
