PASTORAL COVENANT

A covenant agreement evolves from the evaluation by the Staff-Parish Relations Committee, and identifies one mutually acceptable goal for pastoral leadership for the next appointment year. After completing the Pastor’s Evaluation Form, this sheet may serve as a process to assist the pastor and committee in establishing this goal.

SUMMARY OF EVALUATION

Rank in order from one to four, the areas of ministry that are strongest for this pastor.

The Covenant

What goal(s) for this Pastor for the next year would most benefit our shared ministries:

1. Continue planning outreach that would be implemented upon completion of Building.

2. Continue Evangelism Explosion.

3. Through established classes, make congregation more aware of what it means to be a Methodist.

4. Complete new construction & insure daycare relocate on schedule so renovation can be accomplished.

5. Make all effort to insure the safety of children in new building.

 

What is the plan for achieving this goal(s)?

1. Continue training and initiate fundamental training for adults and children.

2. Encourage more attendance at Conference.

 

How will the PPRC (SPRC) support the pastor in the achievement of this goal(s)? (please note extra funds for continuing education, plans for encouragement, feedback and accountability, etc.)

1. Encourage & support pastor with funds for training

2. Encourage participation

3. Encouragement and prayer. Meet for feedback periodically
